Michelle Wu becomes first person of color and woman to be elected Boston mayor

Democrat Michelle Wu, daughter of Taiwanese immigrants, defeated fellow Democrat Annissa Essaibi George, in the Nov. 2 Boston mayoral runoff election. She is the first woman and person of color to be elected to this office.
