For over 73 years the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio (ULGSO) has been in the forefront of uplifting and transforming generations of Black and other underrepresented individuals and families through financial empowerment and community advocacy. ULGSO is currently the oldest and largest Black-led civil rights organization with a reach in Southwestern Ohio from Northern Kentucky to Greater Cincinnati to Dayton. Our Community Matters: An Urban League Special, is the annual celebration of their impactful work. This year’s special is hosted by WLWT anchor Ashley Kirklen and Urban League CEO Eddie Koen and features special guest and baseball legend, Barry Larkin. This event celebrates the League’s far-reaching and extensive accomplishments that are on track to serve over 40,000 people.
